What is Fiscal Sponsorship?

Fiscal sponsorship is a mechanism that enables a business or project, typically one that doesn’t have its own 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, to operate under the umbrella of an existing 501(c)(3) organization like DAPA. This arrangement allows the sponsored business or project to:

  • Access Funding Opportunities: By being fiscally sponsored by DAPA, businesses gain the ability to apply for and receive grants and donations that are specifically designated for 501(c)(3) organizations. This opens up significant funding avenues that would otherwise be inaccessible.
